Sparky is very worried about not getting his din-din on time tonight.

I think Sparky is questioning if putting them at the top of the food chain was such good idea.

It may take a while but Agnes will finally convince Charles to take her fabric shopping.

Are they arriving home from an event where Charles, once again, made a fool of himself?

We were scheduled to get together at Agnes and Charles’ house…. but it really doesn’t look like a good time, so I gave them a call.

Agnes seemed relieved when I asked whether we could visit on another day instead.

Let’s give them some time for the dust to settle…. I’m thinking maybe… um… next July?

Meanwhile…. come on over to my salon… my kitchen is big and comfortable…. and I just made cinnamon apple twist bread.

Let’s keep the conversation fairly soft, so we don’t awaken the Cliffords.

Wait… if they’ve been sleeping FIVE DAYS…. it might be time to wake them up!

This 2009 comic is just superb. Four distinct characters, each of whose thoughts at this very moment are easily discernible to us as readers. And they are all different, shown without a word of dialogue. Brilliant.
