Hi Ballardeers. I left some questions on yesterday’s comments. Nighthawks, especially for you.

Lois did well and did it gracefully. I wonder if Cleo has been taking lessons from her. It’s obvious that, if Gilbert has been taking lessons from Lois, he hasn’t been practicing like he’s supposed to.

Farside, Cleo does everything gracefully, whether it is counter surfing or roller skating. Sadly, Gilbert and Claude can never keep up.

I also try to post it every night…. but sometimes, like tonight, I’m very late.

 

 

We can’t post on Sherpa, so we’re always on Ballard Street, the same date as today, ten years ago …. right now, it’s May 8th 2009 instead of 2019.

There are several ways to get here every day….

 

1) Go to any Ballard Street, click the oval with the date below the strip …. and use the little calendar that pops up to get to today’s date in 2009.

 

2) Or, on any Ballard Street, change the date in the URL in the address bar of your browser….

Usually you only have to click inside the “2019” and change it to “2009”

Right now it’s stuck on April 30th 2019, but you can change it to whatever you need, ie:

“https://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2009/05/09”

 

3) Or just come back every day!

Go your own profile, and click on “Ballard Street” above the last comment you made here.

Then use the arrow under the strip to move forward to the next day.

That’s what I do.

In answer to Shika, and others….

Unfortunately, the email from Sherpa doesn’t work any more…. nor does putting Sherpa strips on your comics page.

They say it will all be fixed … last year.

We’re hoping…. but we’ve stopped holding our breath.

 

I don’t think Nighthawks, or anybody, has time to e-mail people every single day….

Hopefully you can get here and to the Cleo strip using my tips above.

If you have more questions, just post them.

Somebody will try to answer.

 

BTW, A poster named Neil Wick programmed a bookmark you can add to your browser, if you’re on a PC, that will make live links work …

As for the 2019 Ballard Street….

Several of us have posted a lot about it on that April 30th strip.

Read the comments and replies near the end… before and after x_Tech’s birthday stuff.

There’s even one from a GoComics moderator.

 

Jerry Van A retired on March 30th.

He said the strip would go into reruns….. and it DID.

April 1-30 were reruns from 2013.

They stopped on April 30th, but the moderator verified, in a reply to one of my comments, that they WILL start up again.

Hang tight.

We used to call what our Danes did “counter cruisin’”. Their feet would never leave the floor because they weren’t allowed on the counter so they could get at anything that wasn’t pushed to the back of the counter.

We could always tell when they were at it. They left a drool trail along the top of the counter.
