Because they’re too cheap to buy dog food.

Reminds me of when Archie Bunker had a tape recording of a dog barking for security.

Cardboard pets? Do you have to clean up ‘spitwads’?

They don’t shed, they don’t bite. No food or veterinary service required. Maybe I will get a couple of those next time.

Go contemplate, then come congregate with us at the Tiki where we commentate and commiserate. The Sheriff is coming out of his back office to run the house while Susan is on leave. His daqs are much stronger than penny-pinching Susan’s, and he is not stingy with the yak ribs either! We are facing a shortage of pie, though. And puns.

Ouch. His aim may be straight, but his math is square.

That evil cat, Cat-a-comb, was just wounded. O-49 better watch out when it’s time for bed. You never know what’s lurking beneath the bed.

Cardboard pets? I’ll take the ones you have to care for anytime.

They’ve done a lot more for me than I could ever do for them.

So, did our California audience survive that nasty big earthquake? One of our daughters lives about 100 miles south west of Ridgecrest and they sure felt the shake. Almost as big as the Northridge quake in ’94 that I got to endure.
