Good morning, ladies and gentlemen…. and the rest of you…
Nice to see Cleo dressed up again, in her concert best…
In the September 16th, 2019 Cleo and Company, on Sherpa…
Another new strip!
The color of her dress is a bit gaudy, I think, but then, she is a featured soloist….
and of course the plain black opera pumps do help tone it down.
As last she knows there’s a difference between adorning herself in the accoutrements of Howlywod glamour, and choosing sophisticated attire for the concert stage.
I would venture to say that not a lot of dogs know the difference, or have her good taste.
Or her WMDs.
As I asked Dennis, above… bazoon or bassooka?
Nighthawks… and Stel too! I hope you saw my two replies, late yesterday, explaining about the Bandaids.
I wasn’t criticising them, in any way… they are part of the beloved pantheon, so to speak, of comics cliches.
Are they planning on hoisting Neal up to the window, in that chair?
It doesn’t look like they’ve ever had a test run of that pulley system…
At least at the Tiki, while we don’t have hanging chairs for your enjoyment,
we have the little monkeys try out pulleys and other aerial transfer systems for correct balance, before attaching a package or a pie….
Never mind a human customer.
BTW, Ballard Street 2019 did advance another day (of 2002) today….
Hope it does keep moving forward.
Seems funny to have it be 10 years ahead of us, as ever, but 7 years behind us in its content.
At least she knew to point it the right way. And only 2 and a half months to go before they change the fix-it date to 2020. At least I hope they fix that part.
Robin “Bob” Burns (August 2, 1890 – February 2, 1956), from Van Buren, Arkansas, was an American musical comedian, who appeared on radio and in movies from 1930 to 1947. Burns played a novelty musical instrument of his own invention, which he called a “bazooka”.

I’d ask to be seated elsewhere, Neal…

A truly ingenious idea……although the rope needs to be placed at the center of balance to prevent S. T. C. (Sudden Table Clearance)

I thought from the first panel that instrument looked suspiciously like… well, not a basset horn anyway.

Now will there be more thunderous applause? Or has the audience been obliterated? Inquiring minds would like to know.
