Today, as is often the case, the puzzle is made from one frame of an animation…

and of course, that means the animation is losing something in the “translation” … but the puzzle is a reminder of its glory.

With this puzzle, though…. I would just as soon see the nice puzzle…. and miss the …um… dubious glories of witnessing the rest of Cleo’s endeavor.

Saturday Non Solution Solution

   1.  Top panel: Mad Magazine in magazine rack is Special Tarantino Time Warp FINAL ISSUE. Bottom Panel: Magazine is upside down – is actually DAMM Magazine (Drunks Against Mad Mothers).

   2.  Top: Cleo is a swatting a Tsetse fly, an obligate parasite that lives by feeding on the blood of vertebrate animals. Bottom: Tsetse Tsetse Tsetse – (try saying that drunk to a damn bunch of mad mothers).

   3.  Top: Cleo listened to Capt. Kangeroo when he instructed us to say, “’Please’ and ‘Thank you’ for a Tootsie Roll”. Bottom: Tootsie sure sounds a lot like Tsetse to me.

   4.  Top: “Please! Oh, Please!” is a naked rip off of Gary Larson’s famous 1985 The Far Side “Oh please, oh please” “CAT FUD” cartoon. Bottom: Here it is

   5.  Top: Infamous skinflint Nighthawks B. Pennypincher refuses to buy real coffee for Claude – uses less expensive indotherms above cup to merely suggest presence of coffee. Bottom: “Coffee mug” is actually upside down oil filter stolen from ’57 Studebaker by cheapskate C&C producers.

   6-9.  Highly technical. Only MontanaLady, who recently alluded to the “Highly Technical” portion of this “Solution”; Perkycat, who knows a thing or two about earworms; SusanRainOrShine, who was AWOL this week; StillTheBelle, who should include a DO NOT PUSH button in a movie poster some day; and the mysterious katina.cooper, who is wondering when GoComics will change its new Sherpa rollout date from 2019 to 2020, would understand.

Old Christmas lights got in the way of Neal’s attempt to end it all.

Less than five minutes and got all of them. Slow and flaky internet connection at the moment.

It’s Snowing!!!!

This was a fun puzzle until I couldn’t find #9. I swore NightHawks didn’t add correctly and it wasn’t my fault. But, when I looked at the gif, I saw that I even looked for a difference at the spot and didn’t see it!

I know. It was the hot chocolate! It lulled me into such calmness I couldn’t see straight.

I can do those hi-techie know-it-all sidie-by-sidie thingies too.
