Translation - I’m broke, my retirement plan has evaporated, my mortgage is in default, I don’t have a health care plan and I’m not a big enough crook to apply for a government bail-out.
i once read a statement that said:
married men live longer than single men, but they are also more willing to die.
(since we’re playing with stereotypes, here)
also, i’m a firm believer that, as Sheryl Crow sang, “it’s not getting what you want, it’s wanting what you’ve got.”
if that is the case, then the pursuit of happiness (looking for something to make you happy) should lead to misery. IMHO

Or maybe it’s because my life and my liberty have been taken away by overzealously pursuing happiness. You think?

Life is killing me, and I’m a prisoner of liberty.

Avolunteer: True, but that’s because married men don’t get to have the fun single guys do, the “party on” stuff - they live longer, but why?

Avolunteer:
They recently found an error in the study that stated that married men live longer than single men. It just seems longer.

I pusue happiness. If I ever catch it, I’ll have to chase something else.
wicky about 15 years ago
Yeah, married men live longer than single, but they would rather go first.
