I wouldn’t own a car either, if it wasn’t such a necessity. I never owned a car while I lived in Montreal. Everywhere else I’ve been, I couldn’t live without one.
Wouldn’t matter if it has an extended warranty or not. Ever read the fine print? My wife’s first Nissan had an extended warranty and it said covered so and so part for life of vehicle except under normal wear and tear. This would be considered normal wear and tear so not only are you paying for a warranty you’re also going to pay for the trans as well.
Yup, over 600,000 cars taken off the market as otherwise having been resaleable at maybe a decent price. Now watch the used vehicles now left skyrocket in price and made unaffordable due to a much smaller inventory. Cute, real cute!
Do you remember when Cosmo wanted to install an alarm in it? Irv, the mechanic said Cosmo already had the best theft preventive around – a 1959 DeSoto!
Now it’s an even greater theft preventive – an immobile 1959 DeSoto. (and it’s too old for “Cash for Clunkers).

Thankfully, a boat of that size can have the trans swapped out real fast, if you can find a replacement trans 0.o

I have a CR-V that’s a P-O-S … I heard the SAME THING - FOUR TIMES (at $4000 a throw!). I’m STILL hoping THIS time they got it right!

I spent many a year taking transit, but finally got fed up and bought a car. I could tell many stories, but that won’t help anything.
