For those who don’t know of “Mornington Crescent” or “Numberwang,” Google is your friend.

Finally, if you’re curious to see exactly what Mitchell and Webb were making fun of with “Numberwang,” try to find an episode of the long running (they’re now in their 60th series) British game show “Countdown.” They’ve been running so long that they no longer bother to explain what the rules are, or what the hell the game is about, so if you come in at random, it looks like the game makes no sense at all.

Kind of like “Mornington Crescent.”
