Burl’s is one of those statements where you just sit there with your jaw twitching because you can’t figure out which logic path to take to have him re-think that, and then your brain finally turns to cookie dough and you just slump down in your seat and wait till somebody comes to replace your burnt-out chips.
“In other words, then, Burl’s is one of those statements that turns you into Burl.” I hadn’t thought of it that way, but that is an excellent observation. I hope the effect is only temporary.
