Good thing. Otherwise Annie might have to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

I agree with whoever said yesterday that Annie was the best thing that ever happened to this strip.

That’s not cheating Lila, they still act as surrogate parents.

The Village people, John you are crazy!

I got to meet Hillary Clinton at a signing for that book – Stood in line for hours… But I think it was worth it. She was very petite up close.

I met her at an awards ceremony a few years ago – you’re right, she is tiny. But so very right about it taking a village. That’s how we talk about it at church.

Hold on Lila! Maybe that’s precisely how Boyd was raised—listen to the voice of experience.

While Bill is Baptist, Hillary (and Chelsea) are Methodist. Their pastor in Little Rock was the same McLean as in v. Arkansas, the case that prohibited the parochialization of the Arkansas public schools by forcing religious doctrine in science classes. They talked about the village in First United Methodist Church, Little Rock, too.

I’m praying my son can get into to the really great military school on a scholarship…the teachers and staff are accountable to the parents, the students and each other! It is awesome.

…what’s accountable mean?Teachers are blamed for failing and for not failing students.Does accountable mean forgoing troubled students because taking the time an effort to educate them could cost them their jobs?Does it mean passing terrible students along so they get raises?Does it mean all the private schools getting the best stundents and the poor or trobled get left behind?Does it mean that a teacher that doewsn’t get along with the super getting worse kids?

Does it mean kids whose family or parents don’t care or working long or odd hours get punished?

Isn’t there a saying that you get more flies with honey than you do vineager?

Wouldn’t rewarding teachers benefit the system more than made up punishments?

I believe accountability means that if you want to dance you have to pay the band.

Reward teachers, not punish. The NY Yankees are not consistantly on the top by going cheap.

Make more people want to go into teaching for the value of it.Educating students should pay for itself.

You get what you pay for.
