Dudley’s flags are more and more expressive: love the first one, but not sure I get the last one (help, anyone?).

Oh but I love the flag in the first panel! And what does the Chinese (?) writing in Karma’s “exit puff” mean in the second panel?

I think Dudley’s flag is an L for loser and pointing to Karma, cuz she obviously isn’t sure why it’s called the dark ages :)

Ah! “L” for loser! That makes sense; thanks, JodieKay!

The Japanese characters are “zuumu” phonetic (katakana foreign language alphabet) a sound alike for “zoom.”

There is also some indication that, especially at the beginning, in the 530-40s, the Dark Ages may even have been physically darker than usual…

Is Dudley’s first flag crying for/as Boody or is he calling him an S.O.B.?

With her hat over her eyes Karma will remain in the dark.

I dunno, this string theory isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, methinks.

I put the double u in “zuumu” because the middle character that looks like a hyphen means “hold out the vowel” big3469 must have found the official romanji (Japanese using our alphabet).
