In case anyone doesn’t understand what is “culturally insensitive” about the word “gyp”, it is thought to come from the word “Gypsy”.
I can remember once when a band of Gypsies came to my hometown. The men set up home repair scams, the women set up fortune-telling parlors, and the children were out on the street soliciting donations to help “American Indian children”.
That was decades ago. I wonder if they are now done gypping people.
Not too many years ago a couple of the women came to the door selling jewelry… they tried the scam where one keeps you occupied with the products while the other one asks to use the bathroom… we did not let her in.
We also get the Travelers going door to door offering to do “home improvements”. They are English/Scottish gypsies who are quite active on the East Coast.
Ten cents now? I remember when “Drawed While You Wait”s were only FIVE cents. bleeep, inflation has even reared it’s ugly head in art! Ruthie, don’t price yourself out of the public’s reach……

Wait a minute - D-A-R-N is a bleep? That’s getting a little silly. (and it WAS d-a-r-n, not the other)
