bald - Our DMV has only 3 or 4 chairs for people to sit while we wait. We have to stand in a line (no taking numbers). Thankfully, the line usually moves pretty quick, unless an examiner has to do road tests with applicants.

ours has 3 tables w/ chairs around them and about 15 other chairs, plus you have to take a number. last time i was ther i waited for almost 1 1/2 hours to get in to get a new picture for my license.. glad it is onlt once every 8 years in NY state
