Eugene: Lousy camp-issued calculator! Marcus: What's the matter now, Eugene? Eugene: This thing says that the hyperbolic cosine of 15.2 is 0.965016494, when any moron knows this number can't be right What kind of boneheads run this place?! Stupid piece of inferior junk! See?? It did it again! Marcus: You need to hit the blue button first. Right now you're just getting the regular cosine. No need to say "Thank you" I'm rather enjoying this silence. Jason: Did you want to borrow mine? Some of us don't need them.

I have no idea wtf this is about since I flunked college calculus so this is geek-out hilarious :)

Well, the details don’t matter; you only need to know that he tried to do one thing, then blamed the calculator for his failure, when it was really his fault for hitting the wrong buttons. I guess that “geek-out hilarious” means that you get this, but it’s even funnier for you since you DON’T know what they’re talking about?
(Also you don’t really need calculus for the hyperbolic cosine, although most high schools in the U.S. don’t mention it until then. See http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Hyperbolic_functions.svg for a picture of the hyperbolic cosine using only coordinate geometry. But again, you don’t need that to get the joke.)
