Andy: Roger's takin your bags upstairs. You'll be staying in Peter's room. Grandma: Oh, no- that's too much trouble. I can't bump my own grandson out of his bedroom for two weeks! I'll sleep down here on the couch. The last thing I want to be is a bother. Andy: Mother, I have broken my back for the last three days trying to get a 16-year old's bedroom cleaned up for your arrival. It was not, shall we say, pleasant. You will be sleeping in Peter's room. Grandma: Nonsense. The matter is closed. I refuse to be a nuisance.

Sounds like my in-laws - they make up their minds about where everyone is sleeping - no matter whether it is their place or ours, or what I want.

I know this is kind of off topic, but where has Runar been? It’s been like 2 weeks since his last post.

It’s been 26 days, Kig Rat checked his profile. We miss him.

Andi doesn’t know her mom at all. if she did, she’d never have bothered. Though maybe now she’ll be more understanding about Peter not cleaning his room.

Andi's mother reminds me of the patient's mother in C.S. Lewis's Screwtape Letter XVII: ‘In a crowded restaurant she gives a little scream at the plate which some overworked waitress has set before her and says: “Oh, that's far, far too much! Take it away and bring me about a quarter of it.” If challenged, she would say she was doing this to avoid waste; in reality she does it because the particular shade of gluttony to which we [the devils] have enslaved her is offended by the sight of more food than she happens to want.’
