Actually, “Help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” was called out by some old lady in the advertisement for that thing you wear around your neck and when you push the button on it, it calls for help. The old lady in the advertisement didn’t have the thing around her neck so she couldn’t get help. On the other hand she could clap her hands, while laying there, and the lights would go on and off. There was another neat commercial with an old lady looking at a small burger in a big bun and saying, “Where’s the beef?” I’ve noticed that the burgers are still small,but now the buns are too.
jrbj - A correction on that… The old lady in the original commercial for “Life Alert” had fallen and she DID have the Life Alert system around her neck. She had activated it and was calling for help.
Tragic that I can remember really lame commercials from 25 years ago but have trouble remembering my children’s names, when I’m supposed to be at important meeting or why I’ve been standing in the garage for the last 10 minutes (it’s because I can’t remember what I went in there for).

And let’s not forget that Bush ignored the report in the Daily Briefing Report stating that bin Laden was determined to strike the US as well as the report from the FEMALE FBI agent about persons on the watch list taking flying lessons. THANK GOD we now have a president who has brains and common sense!!!!!!
Cosmo misrepresents history - the Roman Republic fell long before the imperialist Roman Empire.
The United States stands at the same point of its republic falling and turning into an imperialist empire, if we don’t learn from the history of the Romans. (Of course, many would say that it has already happened, and I’m not sure that I would disagree.)
