Watterson did the right thing, leaving while he was still creative. We didn’t need C&H getting stale. Would you want another Garfield?

Where is he now? Didn’t he go onto do painting?

Yes, he paints now and is pretty reclusive. I think he quit more over artistic principles than being out of ideas- he won’t allow any C&H merch, or even autograph his books because they end up on eBay.

Whatever the reason….he is seriously missed….he is a genius!
