That’s easy - if it lifts an image from the Sunday comics page without tearing the paper and tastes like bleeep when you chew it - it’s Silly Putty™. (Actually, it looks more like something Lio would have in his pocket.)

It’s a clay-like substance that comes in a plastic egg.

…and another pair of pants soon goes missing. :)

Shasneha, Silly Putty is a glob of plastic goo that you can mold into different shapes for your amusement. It also picks up newspaper ink if you flatten it over, say a comic, you can stretch the image into silly contortions.

Maybe it could be GUM to chew in the mouth. Or maybe he already chewed the gum, took it out from his mouth and put it in his pocket and then he forgot to take it out all of sudden, sticky gum caught his hand when he picked that gum out from his pocket. Sigh! Oboy tsk!

It was originally called Sili -Putty, as it’s made from silicone, and will bounce like crazy if rolled into the semblance of a sphere and thrown with sufficient force against a hard surface - will also shatter if you strike that sphere with a hammer - don’t ask me how I know this - don’t remember it being all that sticky, actually - silicone tends not to stick to much - makes a great lubricant for all kinds of things - hinges, locks, etc.

I remember the time I washed and then put the gum from my son’s pocket in the dryer. It never came out of his pocket in the washer but once it got in the dryer and got hot and gooey. I just sat and had a good cry! It got so hot that it burned holes in the dryer screen. I later had a lovely conversation with the babysitter who gave it to him.
