For someone who suffers from AD/HD, Calvin has an amazing ability to organize. “Sandwiches and supplies…” Look at how long that list is!
Maybe he’ll make it to the Yukon and become a champion snow machine racer.
Whew a sled…. I was worried they were going to try and take the time machine… the sled should work out much better… well as long as there is snow in the Yukon… Is there snow in the Yukon? I mean I have heard about the Yukon all my life but now that I think about it I am not sure exactly where it is….

Who in the world said Calvin suffers from AD/HD?
I believe someone proposed that theory recently, as a possible explanation of his troubles with school. Others say that he’s just too intelligent for his grade.
AD/HD or not, that list is remarkably long for a kid that age.
When i was young we didn’t have ad/hd it was called being a kid and having a lot of energy and imagination now we want to medicate the kid right out of them. Calvin is just a typical little boy.
Will Calvin’s mommy fall for it? I bet Calvin’s parents will not fall for that silly idea Calvin has. Wait and see till the new strip will post next day.
AD/HD is way overdiagnosed. Credible studies show less than 2% of kids have real Ad/Hd of some form. Vs the diagnosis rate of %25. Schools just want an excuse to drug them up to make them easier to manage. I like Calvin’s teacher because she does it the old fashioned way. As other commenters have noted, Calvin is not AD/HD - his adventures show a remarkable attention span, in fact. The truth is - school is b-o-r-i-n-g.
to Stuart Gathman: If you do some research about ADHD and the meds you would know that if you give a child the meds and they get “wired” as if they were on speed (which is basicly what the meds are)then they aren’t ADHD. With my two children the meds had a proxial effect like it is supose to. They were able to sit and listen to a story, actually finish their homework without a meltdown and kids would play with them because they were in better control of their bodies. I thank God everyday for the ADHD meds-Medidate rocks!

Who in the world said Calvin suffers from AD/HD? Personally I always thought he was a pretty well grounded kid with a active imagination.

Yukon is the westernmost and smallest of Canada’s three territories. Not the place I’d choose to go…even if they have cheep meds.

Yukon is right up next to Alaska, but it’s not as nice because you can’t see Russia from it.

“Let’s take a trip to Nebraska and we’ll just drop you off at the Hospital in Lincoln”
