The Santa monopoly…

Calvin, somehow I think you are missing the point. Santa represents a spirit of giving and not entitlement.

maybe he should become the anti-santa, give presents to all those who are bad and punish the good. And he would give hreat presents, forcing Santa to respond

doesnt he realise that santa (aka the parents) might not have the money for all the toys listed on the 12 page!

He should mail the list to the government, everyone else is!!

Calvin should send it to his congressmen - I hear they are entertaining wasteful spending proposals these days.

… then if Calvin is to be a good red-blooded American, I guess he ought to hire a trial lawyer and start legal precedings to reconcile this obvious miscarriage of justice?

What makes you think that everything on Calvin’s list is toys? I’m sure there are such things as would be considered weapons too, and perhaps torture devices, wings, control over the forces of nature, etc.

Calvin is an optimist. Last year he did not receive several items on his list, yet this time he has a 12 page loot request. Looks like Hobbes is reviewing the list for him.

Let’s speculate as to what’s on his list…hmmm? I’m guessing Calvin’s a Tool fan…and #1 on his list is he wants a live performance. No check that…that’s mine.

If Calvin applied himself to his schoolwork as diligently as he does his Christmas list he’d be a little genius instead of a troublemaking lunkhead.

I agree with JDG.

Calvin writes his list, wants it all and feels he is entitled to it. Is it not this same attitude on the part of citizens such as we that has brought us to the place where we are so far in debt we don’t know how to count that high. We rail against the politicians but must remember that we elected them based largely on how they promised to fill our greed. As Pogo said in another comic, “We have seen the enemy and he is us.”

What do you mean his parents! Everyone knows Santa is the one who gives presents! He’s just terminally ill, and tells the parents to put the presents under the tree. And don’t say I’m wrong, because that’s what my parents told me, and my parents never lied to me!… Unless you count the time they said that I was a retard.
