Calvin,it seems like you may get your wild streak from Uncle Max.

Hmmm. Max may have a sense of children after all. He gets his head down almost to the level of Calvin’s. That’s a good way to give a child a sense of well being and assurance. Max may have redeemed his faux pas from yesterday.

A killer’s eye ? Not that one, the other one.

He’s not only got a way with children but also with tigers.

Zeah Uncle Max has realy some imagination. And it makes question: If He has big imagination and Calvin has big (huge) imagination is uncle Max just uncle?? ;)

it doesn’t really matter what you lot think of uncle max… he’s not gonna be coming back, I read ages ago that Bill watterson didn’t get on with him, because he never wanted to give calvin’s parents names, there were only so many ways max can talk to his brother (like yesterday’s strip, “nice kid bro”) without using a name…..

on a personal level, i’d never noticed before, but he doesn’t half “date” the strip, calvin % hobbes are timeless…. that shirt max is wearing…..not so timeless.

Uncle Max and Dad may need a paternity test.

You are right, but it doesn’t really matter. The lyrics were really lame, even in it’s day.

“Win the tiger over and you got the kid”? Except Suzy wooed and won Hobbes, and Calvin still thinks she should “Drop Dead!” (Not to mention his club “Get Rid Of Slimy girlS.)

Marg, you say that you think it’s your right eye… I figure that out. I guess Hobbes already opened his left eye and his right eye already closed. :-]

Maybe Calvin will get along with Uncle Max after all, now he thinks he’s pretty sharp, more so than Dad. But that doesn’t mean he’s ready to give up his room to him.

I asked my Philosophy class to read this and see if they could figure out why he’s called Hobbes when they read “Leviathan.’ We’ll see what they come up with!…

I suspect Calvin would miss his Uncle Max very much after the visit.

Teehee, Uncle Max is going along with Calvin. Unmarried men are usually a lot more childlike and love playing along with kids.

My mistake on the lyrics, I was being lazy and just copy and pasted from a lyrics site, didn’t even read lol, surprisingly quite a few sites quote the wrong word there ^^

I’d agree with fidget360 tho’ in retrospect there’s a phrase ‘cream of the crop’ where I come from, meaning the best there is. I think it should be a requirement that all artists publish the lyrics to all their song on the album sleeve… Um I mean CD cover ^^
