I remember always wanting to stay with relatives when I was younger. It was always different and exciting.

I had the same feeling when I was a kid. Alwayz wanted to stay with relatives, outta home made me feel gr8. so free!

Panel 2 > Uncle Max shaking hands with Calvin…. love the gesture between the two!

To visit uncle Max is a fine aspect and everything before is forgotten!

johnnydoc5 and Ivy0730Lcsq: I actually can remember an expansion on that–wishing to spend more time (or stay) with certain relatives while wishing to avoid (unsuccessfully, I actually was forced to visit these at their homes) others.

Haha I think this is precisely why we don’t see Uncle Max again, too scared that Calvin might try to take advantage of that opportunity again.

Goodbye Uncle Max have a great life, and tho’ we don’t get to see you again we know you kept in touch with you favorite nephew.

I’d like to see Calvins imagination take hold of a security pat-down at todays airport. Alien creatures would surround him with all sorts of devices designed to read his mind and extract state secrets.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha I love the last panel. I can’t stop laughing about that. Well, so long Uncle Max! Have a safe and sound trip! Come back and visit us some time. I am sure Calvin’s parents think Calvin is such a pester.

Honey R: no, he was wearing one when they went to pick him up too. Other than that, though, I think this is the only series besides snow serieses.

LOL—That pitiful, self-absorbed attitude is exactly what makes Calvin’s world so constantly chaotic….and so much fun for the rest of us!

It’s interesting to note that Hobbes never made an appearance while Uncle Max was visiting. Wonder what he thinks of Max?

Actually - he did when Max first arrived. Max said he had “a killers eye” and I believe Hobbes was quite impressed.

I, too, was shocked that Calvin could just waltz off like that without thinking of Hobbes! The probably would have had to turn the plane around on the taxiway.

I am SO surprised Mom and Dad would EVER want some time without Calvin…

I will miss Max. He added something new. Turns out Calvin and Max developed quite the friendship.

Mom and Dad often disscussed about the ‘huge’ cost to raise Calvin lol and at one time they needed a babysitter while they went out, they laughed at quite out loud, cuz they will away from Calvin for a while, even just couple hours, that’s tough!
