Actually Hobbes…she would probably dance for joy if she thought Calvin could really go to Mars.

No need to choke. She knows he’ll be back, as soon as he gets hungry.

They’re going to have a problem with the wagon carrying enough supplies…….they’ll run low and have to come back when the candy and cookies are gone.

If I remember correctly, that will be the least of their worries.

Lewreader, don’t worry. Recent investigations seem to indicate there are enough food suppliers on Mars. Especially stores whe sell chocolate frosted sugar bombs and tuna sandwhiches. Calvin and Hobbes will not starve to death.

Mom has no sense of humour. I guess Calvin got his imagination from his dad. Mom is no fun at all.

No, Hobbes, Mom didn’t seem too CHOKED up, and she didn’t try to THROTTLE you and Calvin, either. You should have GONE a long time ago. Get your tail ‘wagon’, since ‘flapping your arms’ won’t work!

my brother threatened to run away, so my mom helped him pack up a bandana full of food. As he got to the door, mom told him he had to leave his clothes behind. When he asked why (he was about 5), she told him, “well, I brought you into this world naked, and if you plan to leave my world, you are going to leave it naked like you came in.”
