Calvin, it’s very dangerous to openly express your feelings. Better you keep them to yourself and strike from the shadows when no one expects it. They can’t strike back when you’ve already taken them out.

rikw2: Thanks for the link! I enjoyed seeing his early work and his self-portraits were great. I’m going to read more offered on the site when I get a chance later.

Ya know, I understand that Watterson meant for the reality here to be ambiguous, but if I was treating Hobbes as an element of Calvin’s imagination I’d think it’s gotta suck when your imaginary friend can get in better zings than you can.
