@Todd Corky Wallet, son of Walt Wallet and Phyllis Blossom Wallet was born on May 2, 1928. In 1945, he met his true love, Hope Hassel, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1949. Throughout 1950, there was story after story about Corky deciding to be a cook and leasing the diner from that rich old miser Pert. Corky later went on to own the diner and building (in a story line not too long ago). There were two motion pictures about Corky and his diner. See http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0152102/
I’m glad Gertie has the self confidence to go ahead and get herself prettied up. So many women her age are afraid that some mean spirited person would call them a guy in drag and just not try. Go Gertie!
Right on, Dypak! When one is counted among the beautiful people, it must be easy to forget the rest of the people need love, too. Or so I would suppose.
