    “Used to Be’s”…pesky little nostalgic memories…

    Repeat comment from two days ago, if I may:

    Justin, I’m constantly making “unintentional” puns like the one found here. Unless you had no familiarity with the song “If I Had A Hammer” at all, I’m betting some part of your apparently Jungian ENFP mind threw up that idea out of nowhere under a pirate flag.

    I serve a congregation full of “Use-ta Bees”! The only thing as annoying are the “UpNawth” Migratory Members.

    Don’t worry. The “Snow Birds” are as annoying Up North as they are Down South.

    @massha I’m guessing you’re not getting the “useta-bees”.

    It’s a pun on the phrase “Use to be”, as in “they use to be something special.”

    They’re kin to the “has beens” and “never was”.

    thanks guys! I can’t believe I missed this pun. I added an extra vowel -u-se-ta and this seta completely threw me off. Still have quite a bit more English to learn I guess.

    I don’t mean to drive massha completely crazy, but now you all have me thinking of P.D.Q. Bach’s Iphegnia in Brooklyn and the line in which the lead character is “being chased by the Amenities”… You have to know American English and Greek mythology pretty well before you realize just how bad that pun is.
