That’s like how I pulled my kid’s loose teeth when they were little. I’d tie some dental floss around the tooth, and then say “Look - an elephant” and give the floss a tug when they turned to look. Even after they caught on, they made me say the phrase everytime I pulled a tooth for them.
For any parents just getting into that phase, here’s another tip - give them a freeziepop or popsicle first and have them hold it against the base of the tooth for a few minutes. Helps to numb it so they don’t feel anything, and once it’s pulled they get the freeziepop as a reward.
