Lemmings do NOT jump off cliffs. A Disney Nature film crew staged the sequence, deciding the film needed something extra. From the Disney fake, this has become “common knowledge.” Untrue, but commonly held.
They also can swim. Even if they did go over the cliff, it’s not like they’d drown.
