Gweedo, are you being serious or sarcastic? Remember what killed Madame Curie.

Remember those glow-in-the-dark rubber balls and marbles you used to get out of cereal boxes? And whatever happen to those glow sticks that were popular back in the 1980’s?

If you are a disc golfer they sell multiple discs in glo-plastic. They put a solar powered light on top of the basket and throw glo-discs to play after dark events.

They used to sell watches with radium dials. At least, they called them radium dials. My Chemcraft chemistry sent came with a “spinthariscope” that had a tiny piece of radium in it. You held it up to your eye and you could see sparkles. According to Wikipedia, they are still available but use less active elements like thorium. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinthariscope

Oh, definitely, Jason. Or get some (dare I say it?) night-vision goggles.

Ray C said: “They used to sell watches with radium dials. At least, they called them radium dials.” Yeah, very famous labor problem. Females were hired to paint the radium on the watch dials with camel-hair brushes, and would lick the brushes from time to time to keep them pointed (and would also paint their fingernails, teeth and other things with radium just to glow in the dark). Not surprisingly, they later developed radiation poisoning. Still many articles on the web.

I just worry about Jason, that’s all. I mean, there’s no doubt Peter will be straight. The dude is obsessed with the ladies. (As are most teenage males.) I know Jason’s still relatively young, but Eileen practically threw herself at him and he didn’t take advantage!

See, Jason, you can put an eye out. And what difference does it make if Jason’s gay? Maybe Marcus will eb gay, too, and they can live happily ever after.

The panels’ being on their sides annoyed me a bit too, but one can see why it was necessary. To show the yoyo going out to its proper distance, while still keeping the character’s figure its normal size, the panels had to be wider than they are high. Remember, this was originally printed in a newspaper, where it would have been almost impossible to finagle a layout change.

People grow up to be heterosexual don’t they? Or do infants have a sex drive? No need to get so defensive :-D

It’s completely normal for a 10-year-old boy to think girls are yucky (and vice versa). I’d be more worried if he was the opposite way at his age,and someday, he’ll either come around to Eileen or meet the perfect geeky space princess.
