Test: 1. A class of 30 students is given a pop quiz. If 12 of the students receive F's, what is the percentage of students who likely weren't paying attention during yesterdays lecture? Paige: This teacher has a cruel streak. I'm not sure I like. Girl: I'm noticing about 40 percent of you seem stuck on problem one.

I would have done better with a teacher like that. Of course, I’m a sarcastic git.

Well for the students that were stuck on the Problem , but are inteligent in other ways the teacher did jsut give them the answer. So not so much Cruel but actually stretching their cognative abilities .

I like this teacher. She’s one of “the glass is half empty” types, just like me.

Where I was teaching college last year, the 40% not paying attention seems about right. 50% missing the broad hint is also about right. Sadly, 40% complaining to the dean that the teacher is too strict and that the grading is unfair is also about right, and 100% of all Fs being overturned into Bs is also about right.
