Two surefire ways of finding lost things - (1) look for something else or (2) go buy another one. Must hide this cartoon from my wife.

To find a tool, do something else The hammer will be found while fixing the dishwasher The screwdriver will be found while taking down a wall 16 missing pieces from the 108 piece set will never be found. Your torque wrench will be found dented next to a spike in the wall. Don’t ask That eight year collection of Playboy disappeared Remember, if you have ever used “her tools” (Those pieces of junk you bought her at the dollar store). she can use your tools. “But Hon, this is a precision piece of—–

    And then those dreaded words

When are these expensive tools you bought going to start saving us money?

Relax men, one day that left-handed, ratcheting Wango wrench will not only save the machine, the weekend, but your marriage as well.

In my new job, during downtime while they were fixing a machine, I broomed out a screw driver, several Allen wrenches, nuts and bolts and some lost pens. My day wasn’t as total loss, after all.

My favorite part of work is looking at all the spots painted in the shape of tools now hanging vacant in the glassed in but unlocked tool wall. If I ever thing I’m not good enough to work there, I can just realize they use my system, too, Arty.

That was pretty funny, Lewreader. But in my house, I have the good tools and my husband … doesn’t have ANY, come to think of it. He does have an extensive collection of plastic miniatures however.
