I grew up in a tourist community in Wisconsin and we were overrun with Chicago Tourists all summer long. When my friends and I wanted to hitch a ride somewhere we would wait until a tourist would ask us directions to a place and then we would offer to show them the way if they took us a long. We would have them take us where we wanted to be and then hop out of the car and tell them their destination was right down the road.
Nowadays we would probably be killed then raped for doing something like that but we thought we were funny and immortal back then.
It used to be cigarettes, booze, and the sweepstakes. Now the prices aren’t so cheap in New Hampshire and every state has a lottery. Who knows Live free or die may have to start charging tax.
