I’m afraid JoanHelen, you are right. Tweens are so cruel sometimes, and they can be sooooo shallow. Our society has brainwashed them to think that way through commercials, TV sitcoms, and stupid movies. I’m not saying ALL kids are that way, but far too many that I see in a middle school setting are totally warped. They adopt a personality from some over-animated, over-rated TV character and think it’s cute to act like a jerk.
There is a total lack of respect for any form of authority. If it isn’t from our own warped societal views, where does it come from?
