My church can be a little loose with the dress code. God doesn’t care—but then, there’s casual, and there’s not even making an effort.

Perhaps dress codes in church aren’t so much about respect for God as for each other?

I always get annoyed when people insist on having a dress code at church. Once I was playing flute at an open air service. One guy from down the street heard the music, came in, and had his life turned around. I heard later that he had been a drug lord and was on parole.If we had had a dress code, he would have heard the music, come down, and on seeing everyone dressed up prim and proper, he would have turned around and gone home, thinking he was unwelcome.

Just be thankful they come to church at all and deliver a Salvation message.

I try to dress nicer, but I will not strangle myself with a tie..\\//_

If you’re that hung up on what people look like, I suggest you need to re-think your reasons for being in church.

Man those two skinny kids on the right have to be kidnapped. No way do they belong to those two people.

Allison (and Robb Armstrong, too) has always been brilliant at presenting infinite variations of human skin tone. Too bad the “daily” colorist doesn’t play along.
