I always notice when visiting couples of my parent’s age, no matter what happens, the wife is still supposed to keep up the pace of fixing the husband dinner, fetching another cup of coffee on demand and taking care of the husband’s every whim. I have never expected my wife to do my bidding and I don’t notice my male friends expecting service either. A different age, a different attitude, I guess.
