I just saw a news headline about how drinking large amounts of coffee ups your risk of alzheimers. I’m glad I switched to green tea a while ago. I’m awake and maybe less demented in 30 years!
PurpleVegan:
Good point on the green tea. Unfortunately, green tea has only half the caffeine as coffee. I and Mrs. Tubbsbottle prefer an choice Earl Grey for our morning ritual. English style of course….. creme and two lumps.

I know what you mean Mr. Tubbsbottl. It was my father who introduced me to Earl Grey and after coffee, that is my next favorite hot beverage. Delicious flavor!

It seem that no one’s world has started yet unless they had their morning coffee.

You say that like it’s a bad thing … (from a coffee junkie, tongue firmly planted in cheek)

8 bucks for a latte? What the heck kind of latte are you getting?
At Starbucks, it’s approximately $2.50 for a small, $3 for a medium, $3.25 for a large and $3.60 for an extra large.
Oops, I’m sorry, I mean “short”, “tall”, “grande” and “venti”, respectively.

Lessee….at $2.50 a cup at Starbucks, folks are shelling out $40 per gallon for coffee.
Drinking beer and/or gasoline would be far cheaper.

Drinking a Classic Coke is cheaper and provides the same sort of lift, albeit a little weaker.
