It does say “Theory” which is to say no basis on fact or proof, just abstractions based upon perceived observations and imagination; whereas Theorems are derivations of logic, proof and existing evidence to provide a solution to real world situations.

theorem are not antithetical to theories, indeed they can be an idea accepted or proposed as a demonstrable truth often as a part of a general theory

Radical-Knight: I have a “theory” that you exist based on images on my computer screen. But since it’s “just a theory,” I have to conclude that you don’t exist. Makes sense to me.

Actually, for a lot of religious people (like myself), “theistic evolution” is very appealing as a personal belief, though we wouldn’t want it taught in public schools.

Science will prove the existance of God long before religion does.

Not a hypothesis, as it cannot be tested.

Not a theory, as it has not been successfully tested.

Not a law, as it has not been repeatedly tested by different methods, always successfully.
