so on mars 3.5, it looks like the dinosaurs didn’t replace the intelligent primates, they coexisted.

How come even the apes speak English on Mars? Universal translators?

Hey, I noticed the same kind of cave in yesterday’s comic….. Is it right to assume that Yeti has conncections on Mars 3.5?

If cap’n Eddie is the holy one, that might explain how they can talk English - although their English is rather better than his!

Lars speaks English (as does his parents), is English the universal language? Or did the people of Mars 3.5 just lower their standards enough so that we wouldn’t feel left out?

More like “Planet Of The Impossibles”. They likely speak English because Wiley does.

They’re on Mars, so it would be John Carter, or the beautiful, usually half naked Deja Thorus. Unless it’s Tars Tarkus…

Perhaps some of you need to be reminded that this is a comic strip, not a documentary.

Belch? That is odd, isn’t it. You’d best stop making comments Danae, they seem to keep getting thrown back at you. (of course if you did stop, this strip wouldn’t be very funny.)

This strip made me laugh and that’s all that matters. One of our Seattle newspapers went under and the other daily has Non Sequitur on Sunday only. I really miss opening the paper daily to read Non Sequitur and Mutts. Even though I’d rather get my daily giggle from a newspaper, I feel fortunate to have found Non Sequitur here online.

Me too Lisa Grinning….since the last of the good daily newspapers stopped delivery here due to “economic downturn” I WOULD be nuts if I didn’t have Non Sequtur to keep me sane…I realize that sounds sad but it is true so very true

Yes Wiley - its a comic strip - it is amazing how many times people turn it into a political football, reading into it left or right leanings - pro bush - anti bush - pro war anti war. Lighten up people and have a laugh - that is why it is here

    i love it.

    thanks Wiley

I’m always amazed that people expect logic from a comic strip. If Wiley had them speak “Mars 3.5-ish”… what would they sound like? How could it be spelled? Then he’d have to have a whole storyline about a universal translator and it wouldn’t be FUNNY anymore. If you want reality, don’t read comics… after all, with their heads that big compared to their bodies, wouldn’t they topple over all the time?
