Garfield: Some people just don't look so good after they diet.
May 14, 2024
Careful and be sure to stay out of the sun, Garfield. After all that fat melts, you might not look so hot either.
I think it will take more than solar energy to melt the roll of blubber that Garfield calls a stomach.
That last panel reminds me of “The Wizard of Oz”.
Mrs. Feeny will be happy
As you said long ago, Garfield, “DIET is DIE with a T”.
@Ladyfingers86
LOL, that never gets old!
I second that Fer Lefer…. I turn into a lobster, then go back to white when the sun and I come into contact… I like shade and cloudy days… :)
And some don’t look so good before
That was not a diet Garfield, that was a die! Bye bye snowman!
Yup, all that loose snow…
Last panel shows a do it yourself snowman. “Some assembly required.”
Actually, he’s right–as Joan Collins famously said, “After 45 a woman can have her face or her hips, but she can’t have both.”
I have “mature” friends who are wonderfully skinny–and their faces look like they are 10 years older than they are. It’s all in the balance!
I think Garfield is trying to justify his love of food.
gaad! a saggy cat…loose the weight, keep the skin.
John went out and ‘censored’ it to keep ‘Mrs. Feeney happy.

Milstan, you can still burn on cloudy days; UV rays can penetrate clouds. You just gotta stock up on sunscreen.

Oh, I know… I just don’t go out there that often in either case…
Never mind Garfield’s stomach. How do you lose weight in your feet? Those paws are enormous!
That was the Frosty the Snowman diet.
I always thought Frosty The Snowman was possessed and evil. I never liked snowmen.
You don’t have room to talk Garfield!
Was that “diet” or “die wet?”
If the snowman was on a diet, what would he have dieted on?
