    the one time i was charged interest on a credit card bill, was the company’s fault and i had it rescinded. i don’t understand people who still think of credit as “free money” when it so obviously is nothing of the kind.

    It always cracks me up when I get those calls from the credit card company wanting us to apply for a lower interest rate, or a special deal for balance transfers. The caller usually just can’t comprehend that we don’t have a balance (we pay in full each month) on any credit card.

    The U.S Congress FINALLY passed some new credit card protection for consumers - the card companies hated it, so you know it must do some good for us here in the states. If you’re not familiar with the new protections, here’s a link:
