Wonder why the rerun?

The American entrepeneurial spirit is alive and well.

Hawg: don’t sweat it – Garry’s probably just taking a vacation.

Toggle’s shake of the cosmic dice got him wounded and Alex. Every day, if you get out of bed alive, there’s another roll happening.

You guys remember that Toggle survived, but what happened to the officer and the gunner?

Not sure about the gunner. The officer is B.D.’s buddy Ray (I think I got the name right) and he’s still around in Iraq scenes. Seems like it should be time for him to cycle home, though.

No, I thought he was driving some colonel during the bombing?

It’s awfully conservative of GT to repeat strips regularly like this. “Peanuts” is in reruns, but at least Charles Schultz has a good excuse. I’m Hoping for a Change soon.

However, methinks that Garry is repeating this particular strip in the wake of Obama’s “sink or swim” decision he’ll have to make… at the moment, he’s just treading water while the sharks are circling. It’s sort of like MAS*H reruns being popular during Bush’s administration. This is Garry’s subtle way of nudging the administration into getting out of Afghanistan.

No I think this is his reminder that we have citizens in harms way every day and we tend to forget about them.

Why the discrimination against Discover card carriers, though?

Joe Allen Doty - I think Trudeau was using Toggle as in toggling a playlist in an MP3 player.

Toggle refers to the passenger as “Top.” He is not an officer, he is the First Sergeant. An enlisted man would refer to an officer as “Sir.”

GBT must be taking a break.

I wonder if he decides which series to re-run or if someone else gets to make that call.

I’m glad for the reruns. I hadn’t met the Toggle character before he was wounded.

Is there no one who can save us from the Doty Man?

Garry probably just missed the posting deadline - gocomics does a week’s worth of reruns if that happens.
