Do you mow the lawn? Take out the garbage? Do the household repairs etc?

Why, shucks, little lady, that there’s wimmen’s work.

Ushindi I may have been thinking that when I posted my initial comment.

But Ushindi is intelligent enough to be speaking ironically.

And yes, I do take out the trash, do yard work, paint stuff (including derusting, primering, and painting my car), and attend to basic plumbing; a couple of years ago I was also roofing (and I’m acrophobic), hanging doors, and rewiring the house.

Chore assignment by gender is ridiculous. Each person should do whatever he or she loves–and whatever the other person loathes. As long as that ends up with a chore list each party feels is equitable. Most jobs can and should be shared, and everything is negotiable.
