Man: Elizabeth! We didn't think you'd come! Elizabeth: I didn't think I'd have a date tonight! Man: Dennis! We met at Therese and Anthony's wedding. Man: You have a good memory. Elizabeth: I'm so glad you said "yes" when I called. Man: What are friends for? Man: Make yourselves at home! Elizabeth: I know you've got another party to go to. Man: Uh-huh... but it won't get started until 2:00 am. This, my dear, is but an hor d'oeuvre.

OK, I’m confused. In last strip, she said she didn’t want to go to Gord’s party because they were Mike’s friends and she’d rather hang with her own. But all her friends are couples and she doesn’t want to be the odd one out. So she finds a date - and then goes to Gord’s party after all! ????
