Gerald: You changed over the summer, April. When you came back from Manitoba, you were... different. April: I had a great time when I was in Manitoba, they trusted me at the veterinary clinic. They taught me a lot and made me feel like I really belonged. I want to study vet medicine, Gerald. It's gonna take a long time, but it's something I know I can do. It feels right for me! Gerald: So, we'll be taking very different paths. April: But we can still meet along the way.

My best friend in college studied music, while I was a biology major. Very different life courses, but now 30+ years later still good friends.
