Meredith: Cool, isn't it Grampa! Mom got it for a great price... 'cause it's a "fixer-upper"! Can you fix the wiggly stairs, Grampa? They're wiggly - an' the banister's loose. Could you put the glass back in this window, please? That dresser is broken, an' I lost all the knobs. And... the shingles fell off right... there. Guess what! HE even made a new top for the fireplace! April: What's with Dad? Elly: I dunno... all I did was ask him to fix the sliding door.

Be glad it’s just a doll house, John. I bought a real fixer-upper 6 months ago, and we’re still working on it!

You will be working on your fixer-upper for years. But, hey, it’ll be worth it. Stay with it. You can do it.
