Michael: Mom, I don't feel very well. I think I got a fever. Elly: Oh, no! Well, try not to spread it around, OK? Let's keep this thing under control. Wash your hands, Michael. Cough into a tissue and stay away from everyone. Don't go touching people. Mike: Cough cough cough... Waahh!

I’ll never forget the my kids’ doc looking at my own sore throat during flu season and telling me to stay away from my 6 month old baby and three year old. Good luck with that, doc.

The worst thing I ever caught from my children was chicken pox - at age 26!!!! KNow what, you get much sicker than the children do when you are older!!!!!

When we’re sick we need compassion more than the “Don’t spread it!” lecture. I would have cried too!

My four year old always gets sick, and she is the saddest child at that time. Always wanting hugs and for you to rub your back. The next week, I had it!
The least little thing hurts their feelings when their down. Just like us adults!
