That’s what I was thinking, bald. Elly put her on the bed all alone without all her toys. If she put the toys on the bed with her Lizzie might accept the new bed.
When my son Mike was ready to “graduate”, his Dad built him a circus cage wagon bed, complete with bars. He loved it and refused to change to a normal bed until he was too tall to stretch out full length on the mattress. (It used the crib mattress). I have a photo of Mike at about age 4 trying to wrestle that mattress into the cage from the inside. Priceless.
I come from a big family. My little brother and his crib shared my room. In second grade he really complained about touching top and bottom and moved into my single bed with me. We still joke about me kicking him out in the morning so I could sleep alone for 15 minutes. Luckily someone gave my family bunk beds soon after and he got his own bed and I reclaimed mine.

My 10-month-old sleeps in that position. He gathers up everything in the crib and lumps it up underneath him.

Lizzie outgrows! She needs to adjust to get used with new big kid bed. Elly, un-assemble the crib so Lizzie will not sleep in that old crib anyway.

shades, there are some things in a bed that keep you from getting sleep! And lovely, curvaceous things they are, too!
