He’d “hear” it a lot better if she said this time HE’s bathing the dog.

Dear heavens, Macushlalondra! You’ve got to be kidding! A kid that age washing any dog–let alone one the size and hairiness of Farley? That goes beyond the category of nightmare!

When I was young I promised I’d never do that like my mother.

Now the worst times are when I yell something then think: “OMG, I sound just like my mother!” :(

Macushlalondra, You are right, though, he needs to do it. Outside, on the drive, with supervision. Otherwise, he’ll never be careful about the dog rolling in yuck. Suffering is sometimes necessary for us all.

Been there, done that. Mothers need a washing machine for kids and dogs. Dishes and floors are easy.

isnt that the truth, kids look at us parents just right to make us think they are paying attention. Maybe us parents should rebel.

It’s been a long time since Elly screamed irrationally.

    She’s justified!

The Japanese have an actual dog washing machine. I saw Kelli Osborne try it out when she was in Japan. She found it scary.
