Connie may as well go to, gives Elly someone to talk to as the kids are playing. Plus just help her keep an eye on 3 kids for their protection.

If I had kids and they “asked” me this way they would not go til they learned not to put a period where a question mark should be.

Can’t run the risk of being told, “No.” :)

That will be nice if Connie and Lawrence come and join with the Pattersons to the park.

Nice strategy- say what your doing and get out before she can say “no” or “later”!

that’s how it was when i was little. and yeah most of the time i was aloud to go.it wasn’t until i was a teen and that my parents figured out that if i had to ask (instead of telling them i’m where i was going) then i was up to no good.

Wait, weren’t we just criticizing Elly for not playing with her kids at the beach? She had the audacity to just sit & watch them play in the water while John slept, and further audacity to want to take a walk (and a break from watching). If she brings a friend along to the park, she might break all those rules again and talk to someone besides the kids and we couldn’t have that.
