I’m really liking this Boogie Woogie. The bubble in frame 1 is exakly what cats think when they do that. Don’t ask me how I know.

Doesn’t the red hat go great with the orange polka dot PJ’s? Perfect Rufus, and this is why color is a Good Thing.

Of course Rufus would sleep in polka dot pajamas. I hope Kitty is okay.

We have to remember that characters in this strip actually grow old. How long has Kitty been with us now, anyone know?

Oh the poor kitty cat! I think he’s going to the Rainbow Bridge soon.

So that’s who Rufus was digging the grave for.

Well, Rufus shouldn’t have taken Kitty out to dig that grave. Who knows how long they were in there.

Looks like the inevitable is coming. I once had two cats. And when the older one was about to die, that’s exactly how the younger one acted. A sad day in Gasoline Alley.

makes me miss my cat

If you take on the responsibility of a pet, remember; it’s for life, just like a kid.

A lot of foreclosed homes generating abandoned pets lately, so check the shelters for a deal on a little friend.

(My middle daughter’s two fat-cats don’t yet make up for the lack of our old dog - even though she herded us!)

I lost my cat a month ago today…am still in mourning. Hope Kitty pulls through.

Im think we figured out yesterday that Kitty is over 40 years old.

I bet she has food poisoning. I bet the cat food is a bad batch and Rufus is in for some money. I hope the vet helps Kitty pull through.

I’ve never had a cat. Someone once told me that no dictator ever had one, either.

Forty years of smelling Rufus’ armpit would make anyone sick. Poor Kitty. I think we’re in store for a Christmas Miracle.

If somebody has to go how many would rather it be Gertie and/or Byrd instead of poor little kitty cat?

Hector, I would say let Byrd go. Afterall, he is no longer in the picture. Gertie is family as what happened Thanksgiving dinner, and Kitty is Rufus cat. I’m not a cat person, but a cat, dog, gerbil even a hamster is a pet is family! I’m hoping Kitty pulls through, but like a lot of comments on here Kitty is old and I guess its time for him to go. If that happens I guess Rufus will adopt a new part of family……Boogie Woogie. Of course he’s not going to hear the last of it…from Joel.

I agree with Dypak and Chubsy – we’re not going to loose kitty at Christmas! (or Hogwatch!)
